dscn0787A key part of the Cobham Park Heritage Project is providing new opportunities for access anf recreation, allowing people to enjoy first hand the results of this extensive programme of restoration.

New permssive footpaths have already been opened up in Cobham Wood, with more to follow.  A map showing the existing paths, and how they link into the network of Public Footpaths can be found here.

Some of this permissive network will eventually form part of a large circular multiuser route (also open to horses and cycles) that will link into surrounding countryside sites, including Shorne Woods Country Park across the A2 and CTRL.  Further permissive routes are planned across West Park, which as well as providing new opportunities to explore the landscape, will for the first time provide access across Halfpence Lane to Ashenbank Wood at the western end of Cobham Park.

New low-key visitor facilities are being developed at South Lodge (at the eastern end of Lodge Lane, Cobham) including a visitor shelter and National Trust Warden's accommodation, and formalised car parking, located approximately 1 mile from the Mausoleum in the centre of Cobham Wood.
