45 Year 5 children from Bligh Primary School in Strood, came to South Lodge on 31st March to plant a new hedge. The new hedge is part of a growing number of landscape improvements currently taking place around Lodge Farm. It will provide long term security to South Lodge Barn (work now well underway as part of Phase 2) as well as creating future habitat for wildlife.
The pupils worked very hard to plant over 300 plants, which they did following a two and a half mile walk from their school through Cobham Woods.
Bligh Primary School have been involved with elements of the Cobham Park Heritage Project since work began. The name Bligh is the family name of the Earls of Darnley - whose estates once extended to the area of Strood where the school is located.
